PRC-1187A VHF Handheld Hopping-Frequency Transceiver is a new generation of VHF anti-
jamm-ing handheld communication equipment. It is mainly used for mobile communication by
commanders and soldiers in battalion, company and platoon. It has the functions of fixed/hopping
frequency clear/encrypted voice and fixed/hopping frequency data transmission. Additionally, it
also has the functions of selective call, self-test and short message edition. It has the features of
small size and light weight. Built-in microphone and speaker contribute to direct handheld talking.
Clear display and flexible operation are attributed to LCD and key operation. Equipped with 10W
power amplifier, it can be used as vehicle-borne transceiver.
